Welcome & Nice to meet you!
We are Natalie & Viktoriya and we are passionate about cooking dishes that can be used for both everyday and special occasions. We are originally from Eastern Europe, and coming to the United States over 20 years ago has not only presented great opportunities for our families, but for our cooking as well. We’ve been friends for years and we both love to cook, host, and learn new dishes. Our approaches differ from each other but are also effortlessly complementary.
Thank you for stopping by!
ABOUT OUR RECIPES
While a lot of our dishes are inspired by the food we ate whilst growing up, we’ve learned new techniques and fallen in love with new ingredients over time. We’ve always been used to cooking quickly, efficiently, and with fresh ingredients. In our cultures, there are always several dishes on the table at once, so you have to be able to quickly whip together a lot of different dishes. We’d love for you to grab our recipes, try them out, and share them with your friends.
Hi, I’m Natalie and I got my love for cooking from my mom and grandmothers. My mother was an expert in cooking in my eyes, and still is. She cooked every day – easy, fast, and delicious food. She could come home from work just half an hour before my dad and during this time a three-course dinner could be prepared. My family loved hosting, entertaining and cooking for friends and family members. Growing up in this environment made it easy for me to pick up my love for cooking. I enjoy adding a personal touch to the recipes I find in cookbooks or food websites as well as modifying recipes I grew up with. All the recipes you find here are simple, easy to follow with step by step instructions. I am excited to share all these delicious recipes with you, and hope I can inspire you to cook more at home.
Hi, I’m Viktoriya and for me, cooking and storytelling go hand in hand. Cooking helps me get my creative juices flowing as 90% of my recipes are always created on the spot or in my mind. I love to create new dishes and refer to recipes to learn about certain ingredients. I also live to travel and tie cooking to my trips which you can read about in the Travel Guide. Please excuse the grammatical errors here and there, English is not my first language.
